Join us for a Creative Monoprinting and Collage Workshop with Georgie, a seasoned printmaker and artist. This session will immerse you in experimental mono-printing and collage techniques, offering an opportunity to explore various methods and expand your creative horizons.
The workshop begins with an exploration of the beautiful sculpture gardens at the Hugo Burge Foundation, using the shapes and what we sketch outside as inspiration to develop our own work. Using your sketchbook drawings, found imagery, and personal ideas, you will experiment with techniques including stencils, drawing, and ink to produce layered, collage compositions. The aim is to assist you in creating a series of developmental collage pieces to help you explore new ways of working with shape, pattern and colour.
Please bring a sketchbook (if you have one) filled with images and ideas you wish to explore or any images you like. All essential materials, including inks, will be provided. It is advisable to wear clothes you don't mind getting stained.
Whether you are new to art or seeking to refine your skills, this workshop offers a nurturing environment for creativity and experimentation.
