An auction of selected works from Hugo's collection live in Edinburgh and online on Wednesday 19th March 2025
To further our charitable aims and honour Hugo Burge's vision of transforming lives and communities through creativity, we are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with Lyon & Turnbull to sell selected works from Hugo's collection live in Edinburgh and online on Wednesday 19th March 2025.
More information about the sale can be found here
Hugo was passionate about art and its transformative power. His personal collection was extensive and wide-ranging and was displayed to great effect in his homes at Marchmont House in the Scottish Borders and in London. Particular strengths include furniture, textiles and works of art from the Arts & Crafts period, Modern and Contemporary British and Scottish art and craft, 17th-century oak furniture and Asian ceramics and works of art.
All proceeds from the auction will go toward our charitable endeavours. Beyond our courses, funded studio spaces, and work with schools and community groups, funds raised will be directed towards our new grants programme which aims at offering financial support to three key areas: individual artists, creative education including apprenticeships, and creative communities including festivals and other arts organisations.
